This 3 days to fes desert tour excursion from Marrakech to Fez via Merzouga desert through the Atlas Mountains and Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga desert trips from Marrakech to Fes is the best way to enjoy the fabulous landscapes of the Great and Anti Atlas Mountains and discover the life style of the Berber nomads of the Sahara desert.

Departing from your accommodation in Marrakech, you will across the Great Atlas Mountains and its spectacular TizI n Tichka pass to enjoy panoramic views of the Berber villages and the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas. Then, you’ll visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah and admire the breathtaking panoramic views over Ounila valley, the Anti Atlas Mountains and the beginning of the desert of the Great Sahara. Early in the afternoon, go along Dades River toward Boumalen Dades and watch the beautiful sunset and wonderful landscape of Dades gorges. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

After breakfast, take the road of 1001 Kasbas passing by the beautiful oasis of Tinghir along the river to Toudgha Gorges where you will enjoy the stunning views before lunch. Then, head for Merzouga to enjoy a nice camel ride on the giant golden dunes of Erg Chabbi under the light contrasts of a fantastic sunset in the middle of the desert. At dinner, enjoy a delicious Saharawi dish under the stars and the fields of local nomads around a campfire.

Wake up early to enjoy the magical glow of the most beautiful sunrise of all Morocco. After an authentic breakfast, cross the Ziz River and its dream oasis lined with palm fields and fortified Kasbah to the Middle Atlas Mountains, then stop at the small village of Midelt or another close village for lunch. Then head towards Fez through snow-capped mountains, cedar forests and rich vegetation to diversify. Pass by the cedar forests before your unique experience of the Merzouga desert from Marrakech ends at your accommodation in Fez in the early evening.

Know before you go

Practical Info

You can take your carry-on luggage on board with you and give large suitcases to the driver. Bring comfortable shoes, warm clothes, sunscreen, hat or cap and a sunglasses. Vegetarian food is available.

Pick up and drop off

Please mention your accomodation's name for pickup or send it later by email or whatsapp. When you arrive to Fez, you will be droped off at your hotel or the nearest car park to your Riad arroud 20:00 pm depending on traffic. 
We may use a Taxi instead of a minibus for your transfer from Merzouga to Fes.
